Your firm's
institutional knowledge,
on every desktop.
The KLapper App brings Private, Agentic AI to the Desktop, connecting the work your lawyers create locally to the firm's centralized knowledge, all inside your own environment.
It is the missing link between the document a lawyer is writing right now and everything the firm already knows. And because it runs inside your own Microsoft Azure tenant, your data never leaves the firm.
Runs in your Azure tenant · ISO/IEC 27001:2022 · Works with iManage cloud and on-premises · No-code
Your firm knows more than any one lawyer can find.
Most of a firm's hardest-won knowledge is scattered across folders, inboxes and matters, so lawyers rebuild from scratch and the same expertise is discovered again and again.
At the same time, the current wave of Legal AI asks firms to make uncomfortable trade-offs. The challenges we hear most often:
-
Knowledge trapped in silos
Precedent, playbooks and prior work sit in individual folders, not as a shared, reusable asset.
-
Data leaving the firm
Cloud-only tools index confidential client data on someone else's platform, which stalls approval for confidentiality-sensitive and regulated work.
-
Cost that blocks scale
Premium per-seat pricing makes a firmwide rollout hard to justify.
-
Adoption friction
Every new tool is another tab and another login, pulling lawyers away from the desktop where their work actually happens.
-
Time lost to routine work
Reports, follow-ups, first drafts and meeting prep consume hours that should go to clients.
A Private AI companion that lives on the desktop.
The KLapper App is a Private, Agentic AI Desktop application for law firms that links the work lawyers do locally to the firm's governed knowledge, running entirely inside your own Microsoft Azure tenant.
You set up a project on the desktop, add your reference folders and files, and connect it to an agent grounded in the firm's institutional knowledge. From that moment, every draft, question and task is informed by what the firm already knows, with the security and permissions the firm already enforces.
It is not another place to log in. It is your firm's memory, working alongside the lawyer, on the desktop where the work is done.
From local files to firm intelligence.
Projects that connect local work to firm memory. Create a project, add reference folders and files, and link it to an agent trained on your organizational knowledge, so local drafting is grounded in central expertise.
Agentic document generation
Produce documents, proposals and even complete RFP or RFI responses grounded in the firm's own precedent, in minutes rather than days.
Answers you can trust
Ask in plain language and receive cited answers drawn from firm content, not the open internet.
Institutional knowledge captured and reused
Turn scattered know-how into a living, owned asset that every matter can draw on.
Four steps from installation to advantage.
1 · Create a project
On the desktop, add the reference folders and files for the matter or task at hand.
2 · Connect firm knowledge
Link an agent grounded in your governed sources, such as iManage and SharePoint, with permissions mirrored from your systems.
3 · Draft, generate and ask
Work in context: generate documents, ask questions and get cited answers, all grounded in firm precedent.
4 · Schedule and automate
Set agents to run unattended for reports, follow-ups and preparation, and let the work happen in the background.
The right model for every task.
KLapper is model-agnostic and runs against the providers your firm has approved, including fully offline, on-premises models, all inside your own tenant.
Multi-model choice lets each task use the best model, privately, with token-aware efficiency.
It searches every connected system at once.
KLapper's reasoning layer searches every connected system at once, from iManage and the DMS to SharePoint and your knowledge base, and returns one answer sectioned by source with a citation behind every claim, rather than a single-source guess.
Your firm's agents
Connect to an agent grounded in your organizational knowledge, with cited, permission-aware retrieval from your governed sources.
iManage Work
Search and use matter documents through a secure connector, cloud or on-premises, with the permissions you already maintain.
Microsoft 365
Reach your tenant's content with single sign-on. Access follows your existing security and ethical walls.
Cerveau: the brain inside the app.
Cerveau, French for brain, is the KLapper App's reasoning layer. It decides how to investigate a question, reads every connected system at once, and returns one answer with a citation behind every claim, all inside your tenant.
- Searches everywhere, cites everything. It reads across your project files, iManage, the DMS and your knowledge base together, so the app never misses an answer it already holds, and every claim links to its source.
- Resilient by design. If one source is slow or offline, the rest still answer, so a single failure never freezes the response.
- Short-term memory. It holds the live context of your current project and conversation, so follow-ups stay on topic without repeating yourself.
- Long-term memory. It learns your preferences and a project's history over time, so you can resume a matter weeks later and the app already knows the context and how you work.
- Yours, in your tenant. Reasoning and memory live in your Azure environment, so what the app learns about your work never leaves the firm.
Done before the day begins.
Schedule agents to run on their own, generating reports, sales follow-ups and meeting preparation, so routine work is done before the day begins. KLapper runs in the background, even minimized to the notification area, and files the output in your project folder.
A prompt and a cadence
Summarise anything filed overnight on my active matters and save a digest.
In the background, minimized
Waiting in your project folder
Nothing to do when you arrive - the work is already filed and logged.
Diagram in three stages. One, you set it once: a prompt - summarise anything filed overnight on my active matters and save a digest - against the project Meridian v. Holt, on a daily schedule at 06:00. Two, it runs without you: KLapper works from the notification area with no window open, reading the project's references, running your prompt, then writing the file and logging it. Three, you find it done: the finished files are already waiting in the project's working folder. The cadence can be hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or once.
Cadence: daily at 06:00. 3 files filed.
What lawyers do with it.
- Draft a full RFP or RFI response in minutes, grounded in the firm's own prior responses. A response, drafted
- Generate a first draft from approved precedent, not the open internet. A draft on precedent
- Ask what changed on a matter and get a cited summary without opening a file. A summary, cited
- Wake up to an overnight report or a set of follow-ups prepared by a scheduled agent. A report, already filed
- Walk into a meeting with preparation already done. A meeting, prepared
Private AI. Secure AI.
Owned by your firm.
The KLapper App runs inside your own Microsoft Azure tenant, so client data never leaves the firm and is never used to train a public model.
- In your tenant. Data, models and retrieval stay in your Azure environment, in a UK, EU or other region of your choosing.
- Permission-aware. Access mirrors your existing document-management roles, security walls and ethical walls, with Microsoft 365 single sign-on.
- Certified. Backed by ISO/IEC 27001:2022, with encryption in transit and at rest, and audit logging.
- No public training. Nothing is shared externally and nothing trains a public model. Your knowledge stays yours.
Trust boundary diagram. A perimeter labelled "your device, your tenant" encloses four things: the KLapper App, your matter folders, a local audit log, and a DPAPI key vault holding your API key. Exactly one connection leaves the perimeter, over TLS, to the AI provider your firm configures, so the outbound destination count is one. Choosing Ollama as a local model brings the model inside the perimeter, removes the outbound connection entirely, and the destination count becomes zero.

Own your AI.
Do not rent it.
The difference is ownership. Most legal AI runs on a vendor's cloud, indexes your knowledge on their platform, and prices it per seat. The KLapper App keeps the knowledge, the model and the cost with you.
Yours, in your tenant
A private deployment you control, not a seat on a shared cloud.
A desktop bridge, not another tab
It connects local content creation to central firm knowledge, where lawyers already work.
Institutional memory you own
The intelligence lives in your environment, not on a vendor's platform.
Agentic automation
Unattended agents that carry out real work, not just answer questions.
Cost-effective and token-aware
Enterprise capability at a price that scales firmwide.
On-premises and cloud iManage
Modern AI for the environment you actually run, including on-premises.
Reasoning you can trust
Cerveau searches across every connected system and cites its evidence, so an answer is defensible for a general counsel, not a confident guess from one source.
Enterprise AI, without the enterprise price tag.
The KLapper App turns institutional knowledge into everyday advantage: faster first drafts, proposals and responses grounded in precedent; hours of routine work handled by scheduled agents; and a cost model, with multi-model choice and token savings, that makes private AI affordable across the whole firm rather than a privileged pilot.
The whole firm Who can actually use it
Each square stands for a desk at the firm. Under premium per-seat pricing only a handful are lit, a privileged pilot. Under the KLapper App's token-aware model, every desk is lit. The grid is illustrative and represents no particular firm size.
Pricing: KLapper, token-aware. Reach: the whole firm.
Questions firms ask.
01What is the KLapper App?
It is a Private, Agentic AI desktop application for law firms that links the documents lawyers create locally to the firm's centralized knowledge, running inside the firm's own Microsoft Azure tenant.
02Where does our data go?
Nowhere outside your firm. The app runs in your Azure tenant; data, models and retrieval stay in-tenant, and nothing is used to train public models.
03Does it work with iManage on-premises?
Yes. KLapper supports iManage Work both on-premises and in the cloud, along with SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
04Which AI models does it support?
Anthropic Claude, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, Google Gemini, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint including Ollama for local models. Multi-model choice picks the best model for each task, privately.
05Do we need coding to build agents?
No. KLapper is a no-code platform; legal and knowledge teams create projects, agents and scheduled workflows without writing code.
06How is it different from cloud legal AI tools?
Ownership. The KLapper App keeps your knowledge, your model choice and your cost inside your own environment, rather than on a vendor's shared cloud, and it complements Microsoft 365 Copilot rather than adding another silo.
07What is Cerveau?
Cerveau, French for brain, is KLapper's reasoning layer. When a question arrives, it sends a dedicated retrieval specialist to each connected system in parallel, then returns one answer sectioned by source with a citation for every claim. It guarantees the app searches everywhere, contains failures to a single source, and answers only from evidence it actually retrieved.
